Accessibility statement
Loreus wants its editorial website to be readable, navigable, and usable by as many people as possible. We work toward clear headings, meaningful link text, keyboard access, readable contrast, responsive layouts, and descriptive alternative text for editorial images. Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished badge. This statement describes our current approach and contact process. It covers the public pages, navigation, forms, images, and interactive controls maintained by Loreus as of 13 October 2026. A third-party page reached through an external link may have its own accessibility features and support route. We record reported barriers so that repeated issues can be prioritised rather than treated as isolated comments. Readers can contact the desk with the page address, device or assistive technology used, and a description of the barrier, while omitting information that is not necessary.
1. Our commitment
We review page structure, colour contrast, focus order, text size, and mobile behaviour as part of ordinary editorial updates. We aim to align with widely recognised accessibility principles while respecting the limits of a small publication. Some older content may need improvement. We prioritise barriers that prevent reading, navigation, or contact.
2. Structure
Pages use a consistent header, main content area, headings, sections, and footer. Navigation links use words that describe their destination. Tables include headings when a comparison needs them. Readers can move through the site without relying only on colour or visual position.
3. Images
Editorial images include specific alternative descriptions that communicate their visual purpose. Decorative repetition is kept limited so screen-reader users do not encounter unnecessary noise. If an image contains information that is not available in nearby text, contact us and we will provide an accessible description. Policy pages are intentionally text-only.
4. Keyboard and focus
Links, buttons, form controls, and disclosure elements are intended to work with a keyboard. Visible focus styling may vary by browser and device. The mobile navigation offers a button rather than requiring a pointer gesture. We test common flows, including cookie choices and contact form submission.
5. Language and readability
Loreus is written in US English with a calm editorial tone. Long pages use headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables to create landmarks. We avoid unnecessary jargon and explain specialised terms in the glossary. Readers may zoom and resize text using their browser.
6. Motion and contrast
The interface uses minimal movement and no auto-playing video. Hover effects are subtle and do not carry essential meaning. Text is selected for strong contrast against the beige, sage, and dark sections. If a combination is difficult to read on your device, please report the page and element.
7. Forms
The contact form labels each field and identifies required information through browser validation. After submission, a visible success message confirms that the message was prepared for the editorial desk. This is not an emergency channel. We encourage readers to keep unnecessary personal details out of a message.
8. Known limits
Third-party services, browser differences, older assistive technology, and external links may not behave consistently. A generated image replacement process can also change the final visual asset, so we review alternative text separately. Some PDFs or archived materials may not yet meet the same standard. We will improve these limits as they are identified.
9. Feedback procedure
Tell us the page address, the device or assistive technology used, the barrier, and the outcome you expected. Send this information through contact.php or to Jl. Thamrin No. 8, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Jakarta 10310, Indonesia. You may also call +62 21 6815 3047. We aim to acknowledge a clear accessibility report within 10 working days.
10. Review date
This statement was reviewed on 13 October 2026. We record meaningful fixes and update this page when the approach changes. Accessibility concerns are considered part of editorial quality, not a separate afterthought. We welcome patient, specific feedback from readers.
Accessibility reports should include the page address, the task the reader was trying to complete, the device or browser used, and the assistive technology involved when relevant. Loreus aims to acknowledge a report within 5 business days and to provide an initial assessment within 20 business days. A fix may require testing across keyboard navigation, zoom, mobile layout, and screen-reader output before it is published. A known limitation is recorded and prioritised when an immediate correction is not practical.
Requests can be sent to Jl. Thamrin No. 8, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Jakarta 10310, Indonesia, or by phone at +62 21 6815 3047. Personal information is used only to understand and respond to the accessibility matter and is normally removed within 24 months after closure. External services linked from Loreus may use different standards, so readers should use the support route shown on that destination. This statement was reviewed on 13 October 2026 and will be updated when the site structure or accessibility approach changes materially.
