Policy dated 13 October 2026
Advertising and sponsorship
Loreus is designed as an editorial publication rather than a direct-response sales channel. We may review carefully selected sponsorship or advertising arrangements when they can coexist with reader trust, clear labelling, and responsible subject matter. We do not publish claims that pressure people or promise a personal outcome. This policy explains the boundaries we apply. It covers display placements, sponsored pages, partner references, referral links, and any tracking connected with a commercial arrangement. The commercial relationship must remain understandable to a reader who encounters a placement without first reading this policy. A review considers the wording, image treatment, destination page, audience, and the information collected after a click. Loreus may pause a placement while a question is investigated and records the reason for that decision for internal accountability.
1. Separation
Advertising must be visually and verbally distinguishable from independent editorial content. A sponsored placement does not control article selection, conclusions, corrections, or reader correspondence. Editorial staff may reject a commercial request that conflicts with the publication’s standards. Commercial material is never presented as neutral reporting.
2. Suitable categories
We consider only services and products that can be described accurately without exaggerated claims. We avoid categories that depend on fear, shame, hidden conditions, or urgent pressure. We do not knowingly accept material that is unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or aimed at children. Each arrangement is reviewed for relevance to adult readers.
3. Prohibited language
Advertising on Loreus must not use guarantees, dramatic before-and-after claims, unsupported personal promises, or language that implies a reader is defective. It must not suggest that a purchase is a substitute for appropriate qualified support. We also reject misleading scarcity, false reviews, and disguised endorsements. These rules apply to copy, images, landing pages, and tracking.
4. Labelling
Paid content is labelled with plain terms such as Sponsored or Advertisement. The label remains visible on mobile and desktop layouts. Links may be marked as commercial where appropriate. Readers should be able to understand the relationship before they act on a placement.
5. Data and targeting
Loreus does not sell contact form information to advertisers. Any measurement used for a placement is limited to campaign reporting and subject to the cookie choices described in cookies.php. We avoid targeting based on sensitive personal assumptions. Partners receive only the aggregated information needed for an agreed report.
6. Editorial independence
Writers and editors retain control over headlines, qualifications, corrections, and publication timing. A sponsor may review factual claims about its own service but may not rewrite independent analysis. Conflicts are disclosed when they could affect a reader’s interpretation. The desk keeps a record of relevant decisions.
7. Reviews and complaints
Readers can report a misleading placement with its page address, date, and concern. Loreus will review the material and may pause, correct, or remove it. A commercial relationship does not prevent a complaint. We aim to respond to a clear advertising concern within 15 working days.
8. External destinations
An advertiser’s website has its own terms, privacy notice, prices, and service limitations. Loreus does not guarantee the external experience or take responsibility for changes after a link is published. Readers should make independent decisions and read the destination’s information carefully. An advertisement is not a personal recommendation.
9. Records and retention
Commercial correspondence and placement records may be retained for up to 36 months for accounting, compliance, and editorial accountability. Aggregate performance reports may be retained for five years without direct reader identifiers. Materials are deleted sooner when there is no continuing reason to retain them. Access is limited to people who need it.
10. Review
This policy was approved on 13 October 2026. It will be reviewed at least annually and whenever the site changes its commercial model. Contact Loreus at Jl. Thamrin No. 8, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Jakarta 10310, Indonesia or +62 21 6815 3047 with questions.
Commercial reviews consider the advertiser identity, destination page, audience, claims, imagery, data collection, and the clarity of any commercial relationship. A placement may be declined or removed when the available information is incomplete, when the destination changes materially, or when a reader could reasonably misunderstand the message. Click and impression records, where used, are limited to operational reporting and are generally deleted or aggregated within 13 months. Consent records may be retained for up to 24 months to document the reader’s choice.
Concerns about an advertisement can be sent to Jl. Thamrin No. 8, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Jakarta 10310, Indonesia, or by phone at +62 21 6815 3047. Loreus aims to acknowledge a clear complaint within 5 business days and review it within 20 business days. A commercial partner cannot require editorial staff to remove a correction or alter an independent conclusion. This policy was reviewed on 13 October 2026 and future material changes will be dated on the page.
